Nice day, on the whole.  Took the boys to se the 'Hobbit', which they enjoyed but both were disappointed by the ending which was clearly designed to set the audience up for a sequel, ending in mid-jourey, as it were.   Alex has, as always, been very easy and made Izzy very happy by agreeing to snuggle her for a bit at bedtime.  He is weakening!

Joey had a bit of a mixed day.  He is a bit tired and has a bit of a cold.  Also, he gets very excited when Alexander arrives.  End result is a bit of a return to previous behaviour, where he can over-react and then get all defensive.  And we are  a bit tired as well, and perhaps less patient.  A pity but it was always going to be a bit of a rocky path.  We are off to stay with Anne's parents tomorrow, so hopefully he will enjoy that.
